Lilutesa

Lilutesa is one of my favorite kids clothing designers. (I keep begging her to make adult clothes, but she didn’t give in yet) Not only are her designs unique, comfortable, designed for making the kids life easier with their airy, breathable clothes, but also the parents’, as the clothes are wearable for multiple seasons. She is an inspiration, being the mom of 4 and a successful entrepreneur, a creative person and such a do-it-all woman! I first started looking at her design from a distance, thinking that it was not worth it to order 1-2 clothes to the Netherlands. But when I started this webshop, she was the first producer I wanted to talk to and work with. Her story and products fitted so well with Makayashop, that I didn’t think twice. I placed the first order, and when I finally saw the products, I decided to keep already 5 products for my children. To be honest, I would have preferred to keep them all, but then there wouldn’t be any left for the website (my entrepreneurship was not yet in gear) In a nutshell, what I like about her products: • The design is so different, you can recognize her clothes immediately • The clothes are made thinking how to last for years – a long pant can become a knee long or short one, a dress can become a longer shirt and so on • The pants have a gap for you to reach out for the elastic and adjust it depending on how the child is growing (how cool is that?) • Each piece of clothing is upcycled – that means it has at least 1 recovered item from either another clothe, or an embroidery or button All in all Lilutesa is breathing sustainability and I can only be grateful that she agreed to send me her products.
